A headlamp is incredibly underrated when it comes to camping. In my opinion, it is much better than a lamp due to it freeing both your hands up and always lighting where you are looking. It also provides better lighting depending on the quality of the headlamp.

Not all campgrounds allow fires. Definitely make sure to check the weather forecast as it dictates whether there is a fire ban or not.
Additionally, gathering firewood is banned. Especially, that of living trees.

If you’re underprepared, unfriendly weather. Nothing worse than wet socks, a soggy shirt, and a tent that’s about to collapse. Being prepared definitely helps your experience, and always bring x2 socks and underwear as they are game-changing.

When it comes to camping gear, Sea to Summit is a quality choice. Well-priced, sturdy, reliable, and Australian-owned!
Honourable mentions have to include MSR which is quite high-end but worth every penny, and Alton Goods which focuses more on ultralight camping.

I love the Warrumbungles!
Was my first ever campground as a kid, and loved the memories made there with family.
A close second would be Newnes. Very busy campground these days.

I would love to camp in Sedona, AZ, USA. Will be weird to wake up to Cactus and Rattlesnakes as Opposed to Gum trees and Red Bellies.
If not AZ, then Norway.
